Biography
A lfe-long Detroiter, Mark Mortiere started a private dental practice in 1988. He began teaching at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2015 and is currently a clinic lead. He enjoys helping pass on knowledge to UDM students in their quest to become clinically competent practitioners.
In his free time, Mortiere enjoys fishing, canoeing, reading, cooking and music, whether that be recorded or live or (trying) to play guitar. He loves to travel around Michigan and the entire United States.
One of Mortiere's passions is continuing his education through lifelong learning. He has achieved a fellowship and masters in the Academy of General Dentistry.
Most of all,Mortiere enjoys helping others. He feels this is one of the greatest things about Detroit Mercy Dental: we really do care about people and strive to help others in need.
