Biography
Dr. Jones joined the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2017. She graduated with a Certificate in Dental Hygiene from the University of Michigan and a D.D.S. and MPH from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed a VA Dentist Geriatric Fellowship affiliated with Harvard School of Dental Medicine and received a Certificate and D.Sc.D. in Dental Public Health from Boston University.
Dr. Jones is a recipient of the IADR Distinguished Scientist Award for Geriatric Oral Research in 2007 and an ADEA Gies Award for Outstanding Innovation as an Educator in 2009. She is Board Certified in Dental Public Health and Geriatric Dentistry.

Areas of Research
Dr. Jones teaches dental care for older patients, oral health disparities, and reducing risk for oral diseases in populations. Her interests include efficacy and effectiveness of oral health care and the impact of oral conditions on health and quality of life.
