Biography

Dr. Nahwa Badawi was born and raised in Dearborn Heights. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan–Dearborn and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University School of Optometry.

Following graduation, Dr. Badawi completed a residency in ocular disease at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit, where she received specialized training in the care and treatment of a wide range of ocular diseases.

Dr. Badawi is passionate about helping patients maintain healthy vision and improving their overall quality of life. She is equally committed to educating future healthcare professionals and staying current with developments in optometric practice and research.

Dr. Badawi is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Michigan Optometric Association and the American Academy of Optometry.

In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, discovering new coffee shops, reading and spending quality time with her husband, family and friends.
