Biography

Born and raised in Detroit, Suzanne Keep has lived in several cities around the state. She has worked for the University in Grand Rapids since 2006. Keep enjoys swimming, sewing, gardening, photography and spending time with her husband and family, including her grandson.
As a Catholic, Keep believes in Detroit Mercy's mission - serving the marginalized, the vulnerable and the poor - supporting it with the University's students. Working with students and seeing them become compassionate nurses motivates Keep. Her son graduated from Detroit Mercy's School of Architecture and is marrying a Detroit Mercy alumna from the McAuley School of Nursing.
