Make a Gift: Titan Changemakers

Together, Titans thrive. Titan Changemakers will bring 100 alumni together to make a significant impact on the University of Detroit Mercy. Together, 100 changemakers will make an annual $100 gift, providing a pool of $10,000 to grant to student organizations or academic departments with projects or programs in need of support. A majority vote by the Titan Changemakers decides whose proposal will receive funding.

How it works

Each year, student organizations and academic departments will be invited to submit proposals to be funded by the Titan Changemakers. University Advancement will choose finalists who will then pitch their ideas to the group of donors who will decide which proposal — or proposals — will receive Changemaker funds.

• Member Commitment:
  Each Titan Changemaker donates $100 per year.
• Funding Pool:
  All donations are pooled to fund the winning projects each year.
• Eligibility for Proposals:
  Student organizations and academic departments at the University of Detroit Mercy are invited to submit proposals for projects to be carried out the following year.
• Proposal Review Process:
  Once submissions close:
  1. The Advancement Team collects and reviews all entries.
  2. The top proposals are selected for final consideration.
• Final Presentations:
  The finalists present their proposals live via Zoom to the Titan Changemakers.
• Voting and Winner Selection:
  Titan Changemakers cast their votes using a designated voting process.

• 1. All donations must be received before voting.
  2. The project(s) with the most votes receives funding.
  3. The winning project team(s) is notified shortly after voting concludes.
