Biography
Stacy Gnall is the author of the poetry collections Dogged (winner of the Juniper Prize for Poetry from The University of Massachusetts Press) and Heart First into the Forest. Her poetry has most recently appeared in Five Points, The Greensboro Review, New American Writing and TriQuarterly. Her fiction has appeared in New Letters.
Gnall holds a doctorate in Creative Writing and Literature from the University of Southern California and is a graduate of the University of Alabama’s Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) program in Creative Writing and Sarah Lawrence College. She also teaches in the Low-residency Program in Writing at Oregon State University—Cascades.
In addition to teaching at the university level, Gnall is passionate about teaching young writers. In 2022 she launched Wordstruck, a creative writing collective for children and teens.
