Biography

Bruce Brorby joined the University in 1971 as an assistant professor of Economics. Over the next four decades, he held a number of administrative positions in the College of Business Administration, including serving as associate dean for 17 years. He was inducted into the College of Business Administration Hall of Honor in 2009 and returned to full-time teaching in the Department of Economics in 2011. Over the next seven years, he taught courses in the Principles of Economics and Intermediate Economics and served as academic advisor for students minoring in Economics. He was selected to represent the College of Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences on the University Promotion and Tenure Committee and on the University Core Curriculum Committee. He retired from full-time teaching in 2018; he has continued to teach on a part-time basis.
