Selecting a major
The average American will probably work until he or she is 65. That’s why it’s so important to have a career you enjoy! While your major won’t lock you into a job for life, it should help you reach your career goals, whatever they may be. Not sure what they are? Our Admissions experts will provide you with great advice about picking a major. A few questions to consider:
- What subjects do I like the most and do these subjects come naturally to me?
- If I could do one thing for free, what would it be?
- What subjects do I dislike the most?
- What majors relate to my interests and passions?
Applying to college
The college application process is exciting, but it can also be a bit overwhelming, as you choose references, write your personal essay, and assemble transcripts and ACT or SAT scores — all while meeting application deadlines.
We’ll go over a timeline to help you navigate the college application process, and discuss how to request transcripts from your high school, elements that make a strong essay and information that should be included in a letter of recommendation.
Choosing a school
Choosing a college is one the biggest decisions you will make. There are so many factors to consider, and not just about academics and programs — things like size, location, campus life and distance from home. This workshop will offers tips and suggestions to assist you when looking at your options.
