Nickolas Davis is an assistant professor in the Department of Social Work. His research interests include social work and technology, data/client privacy and social work regulation and licensing. Davis has over ten years of social work experience in various sectors including managed care, telemental health, hospice, public school systems and community-based mental health. He holds the Academy of Certified Social Workers (ACSW), Certified Social Worker in Health Care (C-SWHC) and Board-Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (BCD) credentials. Davis earned his doctorate in public affairs and social work from the School of Public Administration, University of Central Florida.

He is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management, the International Public Policy Association and the Network for Social Work Management. He was selected as a Policy Fellow for the Network for Social Work Management 2019 to 2020.
