Fitness Programs | University of Detroit Mercy Recreation

Throughout each calendar year, University Recreation will host fitness programming to get people active. Prizes are available with most programs.

Fall

Holiday Wellness Challenge: Get a leg up on your New Year's Resolution by being active and earning points for various activities. The person with the most points at the end wins a Finals Survival Kit with items from Great Lakes Coffee and Avalon Bakery!

Go Move Challenge: A challenge amongst other Jesuit universities in the country for most minutes moved throughout February. Starts February 1st! Sign up at www.gomovechallenge.org

Detroit Mercy Biggest Loser: A weight-loss competition for the Detroit Mercy community. (Cash Prizes)

The 6th Annual Begins January 24th. Teams of 3-6, $25 buy-in per person. Email for more details!

Summer

Summer Burn: Triathlon-style exercise competition with prizes available for multiple areas.
The 2017 Summer Burn kicks off on May 15th and runs through July 27th. Run 26.2 miles, (stationary) bike 112 miles, and row 10,000 meters in an effort to win money! This is a free event!
