Academic Committee on the Status of Women (ACOSOW)

The Academic Committee on the Status of Women (ACOSOW) was proposed by the Women's Studies Program and established in the fall of 1997. The members are appointed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost. The mission of the committee is three-fold: to provide information, assessment, and recommendations on the status of women's employment in academic positions and feminist forms of scholarship within academic disciplines, as well as on the climate for women pursuing academic work as teachers or students at UDM.
