The first entries date back to January 5, 1971. You can search, retrieve and study over two million patents. There are What's New and FAQ pages, as well as information on the interesting history and background of this site.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Web Patent Databases provide an interface for searching the U.S. Patent Database.

Technology Transfer

National Technology Transfer Center - NTTC is the hub of a national network linking U.S. companies with federal technologies. Those technologies can be converted into practical, commercially-relevant applications. The center's free Technical Assistance provides callers with direct contacts in the federal laboratory system.

Technology Transfer Society - The Technology Transfer Society is a professional society of diverse and active practitioners who share methods, knowledge, and opportunities in order to achieve desired end results in technology transfer. The Society was organized in 1975 and now consist of a national organization with local, regional, and student chapters.
