UDMPU Faculty Research Awards - 2012-13
The following RFP applies to UDM Unionized faculty only.
Request for Proposals - Academic Year 2012-2013
In accordance with the UDM/UDMPU Contract - Internal Research Grant Fund stipulated in 11.7 - $100,000 in research monies is available to unionized faculty at UDM for fiscal year 12-13. Please be aware that this fund is different and separate from, and in addition to, the Voucher Fund for Research and Development outlined in 11.6 of the contract.
This $100,000 internal research grant fund is to be replenished to its original amount each year. All faculty are strongly encouraged to apply for and spend FRA grant monies for the five years of the contract.
Please be aware that for this Request for Proposals - all funds are to be spent from August 16, 2012 through August 15, 2013. All faculty who receive these funds may not begin the research/scholarship until August 16, 2012.
In accordance with the contract, the MFA created an Internal Research Fund committee for fiscal year 12-13 to review proposals. This Request for Proposals allows us to have the awarded funds available for a full academic year. Committee members are as follows:

Please be aware that faculty on the committee who submit a proposal will not be involved in any way in the review of his/her proposal.
Please be aware that there is currently no limit on requested funds; however only one proposal is allowed per faculty/union member and proposals will be funded based on available resources and merit. Click here for Evaluation Criteria that will be used by the committee.
The deadline for submission is Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 11:59pm. All proposals will be reviewed and faculty will receive notification of proposal status by May 15, 2012.
To submit a proposal, please follow the instructions outlined in the FRA Request for Proposal document. Please also include a Budget Spreadsheet. The proposal and all supporting documentation must be electronically submitted to Cate Caldwell. Please submit the proposal by March 20, 2012 at 11:59pm.

A final grant report must be submitted to the committee by September 30 of the Academic Year the grant period ends. Please utilize the Final Report format and submit via e-mail to Cate Caldwell.
