In conjunction with the Millennium Momentum Foundation and the U.S. Department of Education,The White House Young America Series is a set of regional forums held across the country this spring.
They are designed to connect Obama Administration officials with young community, civic, non-profit and business leaders to discuss issues critical to young Americans and identify solutions to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

Campus Kitchen at UDM
In 2012, faculty and staff can accompany students in their ongoing community engagement through UDM's Campus Kitchen program, an anti-hunger program. Consider helping UDM student leaders this spring and summer, as follows:
May 2012
- Friday afternoons — picking up and preparing food
- Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — delivering food
From June to mid-August 2012
- Friday afternoons —picking up and preparingfood
- Fridays, 4-6 p.m. — delivering food

PTV: Prologues, Transitions and Viewpoints
Prologues, Transitions, and Viewpoints (PTV) is the annual orientation program for first-year students on McNichols Campus. Each year, faculty and staff accompany incoming first-year students during the program. In 2012, PTV occurs on Wednesday, Aug. 29 and Thursday, Aug. 30. Students express every year how grateful they are for the participation of faculty and staff. It's a great chance to interact with students.
