For the 13th consecutive year, University of Detroit Mercy is listed in the top tier of Midwest Regional Universities in the 2014 edition of the U.S.News & World Report’s "America’s Best Colleges." The University has consistently ranked in the top 25 schools in its category and one of Michigan’s highest rated schools. UDM was also named in the magazine’s “A-Plus Schools for B Students” category.

“University of Detroit Mercy is honored again to be ranked among the top tier of U.S. best colleges in the Midwest region for the 13th consecutive year,” said University of Detroit Mercy President Antoine M. Garibaldi. “Providing a high quality college education at an affordable price to UDM’s academically talented students continues to be our priority, and our faculty and staff are deserving of this recognition for the roles they play in preparing our graduates,” he added.

Highlights of the 2014 college rankings were published in the September 16 U.S.News edition. The magazine’s rankings group more than 1,400 accredited four-year schools based on categories created by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and compares them based on a set of 15 widely accepted indicators of excellence.
