President Garibaldi is elected to boards of directors for NAICU and the Detroit Institute of Arts

UDM President Antoine M. Garibaldi was formally appointed to the board of directors of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU) in February at the NAICU Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. NAICU serves as the unified national voice of independent higher education. Since 1976, the association has represented private, nonprofit colleges and universities on policy issues with the federal government, such as those affecting student aid, taxation, and government regulation. President Garibaldi was also recently elected to the board of directors for the Detroit Institute of Arts, Michigan's premier art museum, located in downtown Detroit.
