 Richard (Dick) Alonzo ’63, retired vice president of Engineering at Guardian Industries Corp., and his wife Mona have made an endowed scholarship gift to assist UDM engineering students. As an engineering graduate, Alonzo was the first in his family to graduate from college. He is grateful for the “earn and learn” aspect of the co-op engineering program; otherwise, it would have been extremely difficult for him to pay for his education. More...

 As senior vice president of Engineering Plastics for BASF Corp. in North America, Larry Berkowski ’83, ’85 blends his experience as a research chemist with his penchant for marketing development in helping BASF find value-added products and services for its customers.

Saad ChehabSaad Chehab '92

There’s a new chapter under way at Chrysler, and Saad Chehab ’92 is one of the top leaders breathing new life into the company as president and CEO of Chrysler Brand, Chrysler Group, and a member of the Group Executive Council (GEC) for Fiat-Chrysler.

Chehab has an intense schedule carrying three jobs. Aside from the Chrysler Brand, he also heads Lancia Brand in Europe and Advertising for the Chrysler Group. These responsibilities regularly take him from his home base in Michigan (Auburn Hills) to his work for Fiat Group in Turin, Italy.
