The Hockey Club has been competing under the the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA).
UDM Hockey is current full member of the Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference (MCHC). The UDM Hockey Club will compete against other Collegiate Hockey Clubs across the state of Michigan (MCHC), as well as national competitions within the governing body of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (Division III).
Men's Club Hockey was developed by the increasing student interest and demand. The purpose of the UDM Hockey Club is to promote the game of hockey, in conjuction with the ideals of the University of Detroit Mercy.
Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference (MCHC) includes club teams from:
- Michigan State University
- Lawrence Tech University
- Northwood University
- Oakland University
- University of Michigan - Flint
- Kettering University
- Lansing Community College
- Jackson Community College
- Muskegon Community College
- Saginaw Valley State University
- Delta College
- Calvin College

- Hope College

What is UDM Club Hockey?
UDM Club Hockey is a registered student organization that participates with other Club Hockey teams throughout the state of Michigan. The purpose of the organization is to provide UDM students with the opportunity to collaborate with each other, while promoting the mission of UDM and the game of hockey.
Who can participate?
The Club is open to any full time student at the University of Detroit Mercy. The UDM Hockey Club is more advanced than intramural or recreational play, and is similar to organized sport travel teams.
Where does the club practice & compete?

- The Club will compete in approximately 24 games from October 2010 to February 2011.
- Outdoor Showcase Tournament at Clark Park in February and Playoff Tournaments within the MCHC & ACHA.
- All home contests will be played at City Sports Center and competition will also be played throughout the regional area.
- The Hockey Club will practice approximately 2-3 times per week.
How much does Club Hockey cost?
- Membership is open to any full-time (undergraduate and graduate) student and free of charge to practice with the team. However, if a student wishes to receive a roster spot with the club, then the student must pay organizational dues.
- Player positions are available for the 2010-2011 season (Deadlines Oct 31, Fall Term & Jan 31, Winter Term).
- The UDM Hockey Club is eligible to receive financial assistance from Student Senate, and is receiving sponsorship from the Intramural Sports Program.
