Public Safety - Letter from the Director
Dear Students, Faculty, Staff, Visitors:
The University of Detroit Mercy (UDM) Department of Public Safety provides 24-hour police services to maintain a safe and healthy environment to support our academic community.
The Department of Public Safety provides patrol services, an ongoing crime prevention program inclusive of evening escort service to nearby locations. There are emergency telephones located throughout the campus community for reporting emergencies. Our web site allows the community to report crime or suspicious situations anonymously to the Department of Public Safety.
The Department of Public Safety cannot do this without your help. We ask that you familiarize yourself with campus safety policies and take an active role to support the Eye's & Ear's Program to reduce the opportunity of becoming a victim of a crime. We will continue to provide educational awareness programs to the university community throughout the year.
The Department of Public Safety is committed to strengthening our relationship with you and encourages you to visit our web site at http://www.udmercy.edu/publicsafety/ or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
