University of Detroit Mercy students interested in part time employment as a student auxiliary officer should stop at the Department of Public Safety, located in the Student Center building and pick-up an application.
Criminal justice majors or related fields of study can gain experience in law enforcement while attending UDM. The hours are flexible and the pay is good.
Provide "eyes and ears" for the Public Safety Department. Auxiliary Officers alert the Police Officers and Community Service Officers to ongoing problems and potential ones.
Education / experience
High school diploma. Applicant must be a student "in good standing" with the University. Criminal Justice majors or related fields are preferred but are not required.
Special skills, knowledge, training
Applicant must be fluent in English both spoken and written.
