If you are a victim of dating violence, report it to public safety or the police.

If you see a fellow student being abused, or in a risky situation, step in and assist that person!

Alcohol is a factor in most cases of sexual assault on campus.  Party smart--Avoid excessive alcohol, keep your head straight!

What is Dating Violence?

Dating Violence is the abuse of one partner in a dating relationship.  The abuse has many forms:

• Harmful words

• Hitting, slapping

• Pushing, shoving

• Unwanted or forced sex

• Controlling dress, activities, behavior

• Excessive phoning, emailing , or texting

• Preventing contact with family &/or friends

• Stalking

  
  

Dating violence can happen to anyone, no matter gender, race, or sexual orientation.
