Community Outreach - University Ministry

Alternative Spring Break

Alternative Spring Break allows students the opportunity to participate in community service during spring break. In spring 2007, students and colleagues spread out across the country to help those in need: hurricane rebuilding efforts in Biloxi/Waveland, Mississippi and New Orleans, Louisiana; home repair for the elderly or handicapped in Mt. Pleasant South Carolina; and tutoring immigrants in Burnsville, North Carolina.

Peace And Justice Residence Floor

The Peace and Justice Residence Floor is an intentional community of students committed to volunteer service, community living and shared spiritual development; it is open to those of all faith-backgrounds.

International Service Experience

In May 2007, students traveled to San Salvador and Suchitoto, El Salvador for the week-long service experiences. For more information, visit the University Ministry website.
