Nursing Clinic
The McAuley Health Center, which is staffed by Nursing faculty and assisted by graduate and undergraduate nursing students, serves nearly 2,800 underserved and uninsured community members on Detroit's eastside.
Volunteer Outreach
Faculty, students and alumni have continued to provide service and volunteerism to community-based organizations throughout the city, inclusive of health screening and physical exams, and outreach activities to underserved population. In addition, faculty and administrators perform research this past year to address areas related to the community, underserved populations, access to care and critical health indicators. Research areas included obesity, financial outcomes & care and women's health issues.
