Clery Act

What is the Clery Act?

In memory of Jeanne Clery, the Clery Act requires campus security and crime statistics reporting for postsecondary institutions which participate in Title IV student aid programs.

The Act requires these institutions, including University of Detroit Mercy, to keep and disclose information about crime on and near campus.
