Important payroll and time card information

In preparation for the implementation of Banner in July 2008 and effective with the April 25, 2008 pay, all employees will be paid according to the hours recorded, approved, and submitted in a timely manner via the Ceridian timekeeping system.  Any adjustments needing to be made after the timecard submission deadline must wait until the next available pay.

Managers: Please be advised that when Banner is fully implemented in July 2008 timecards cannot be processed without your approval.  Your employees are counting on you to ensure they are paid in a timely manner.  Those employees whose timecards are not approved/submitted on time will have their pay delayed until the next available pay date.

Employees: As with all matters involving your pay, please be proactive.  Ensure that your timecard is accurate, has been approved and has been submitted by the deadline every pay period and that the pay you receive is correct.

Employees and their supervisors need to work together to ensure that timecards are completed, reviewed, approved and submitted in a timely manner.  Supervisors must have all timecards for the employees that report to them approved prior to (but no later than) 10:00 a.m. on the Monday preceding the payroll date, unless otherwise instructed by the HR and Payroll Department.  Employees may be asked by their supervisor to have their timecard ready for review earlier than that in order to ensure this deadline is met.
