Dining Services at University of Detroit Mercy provides meals daily for all students on campus. Located on the 2nd floor of the Student Union, Titan Dining Room and The Loft (Subway and J. Clark’s Grille, Up for Grabs) are McNichols Campus' most common dining areas.

The Café A La Carte is located in the Library and Titan-to-Go shop can be found in Shiple Hall. Corktown Café is Dental Campus' dining center, and Riverfront Café is Law Campus' dining center. All of Detroit Mercy's Dining Services provide a variety of meal options for all dining preferences (Vegetarian, Gluten-free, etc.).

Meal Plans

Meal Block 255: 255 meals and $150 Flex
Meal Block 190: 190 meals and $300 Flex
Meal Block 120: 120 meals and $500 Flex
Voluntary Meal Plan: 10 meals: $65 or 20 meals: $120

Munch Money

Munch Money can be used at any of our dining locations, and is more convenient than carrying cash!  AND, when you use Munch Money at Titan-to-Go, Café a La Carte, and the Loft, you receive a 10% discount off your purchase! Please note, Munch Money will carry over from semester-to-semester and year-to-year.  Purchase Munch Money today by visiting the Dining Services Office, or by calling (313) 993-1213.

    Who is eligible for a meal plan?

    Freshmen: Meal Block 255

    What is considered a "meal" on the meal plan?

    With one swipe of your ID, you will receive a delicious, all-you-can-eat meal at Titan Dining Room! In addition, with one quick swipe of your ID at The Loft, you can receive many different meal options to fill you up! Check out the list above to see what is offered in The Loft for lunch and dinner options.


    Do I need to be on a meal plan?

    Yes, unless you live in West Quad.


    Are any provisions made for students with special dietary needs?

    If you have an allergy or food sensitivity or need special medical accommodations, please contact a member of the Metz management team for assistance.


    If I don’t live on campus, can I still get a meal plan?

    Yes, you can purchase the Commuter Meal Plan or you can purchase Munch Money.

    What is different about Flex Dollars than the regular Meal Plan?

    Flex is like a debit card, only easier! Included in your meal plan, your ID is loaded with "cash" that can be used at Titan to Go, The Loft, Subway, J. Clark’s Grille, and Cafe ala Cart. After your transaction, your receipt will show your new balance of flex and meals so you can keep track of your balance. Your can also ask a Metz team member what your balance is without even paying for a meal!


    What is Munch Money?

    Munch Money is money on a card that can be used at any of the University’s dining centers.
