Theatre Company presents Bus Stop

February 19, 2017

Time: 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Location: Marlene Boll Theatre, Boll Family YMCA, 1401 Broadway Street, Detroit

The Theatre Company of University of Detroit Mercy’s 46th season continues with William Inge’s Bus Stop, running Feb. 9-26, at the Marlene Boll Theatre at the downtown Detroit YMCA.

Bus Stop follows a bus full of strangers who find themselves stranded at a roadside dinner in Kansas City in the middle of a howling snowstorm.  All roads are blocked, and these weary travelers are forced to mingle and wait out the storm. As the evening progresses and personalities start to emerge, the relationships formed by total strangers turns into an uproarious romantic comedy that never strays far from the truth.

Bus Stop will feature seven events associated with The Detroit Theatre Discussion Project (DTDP), which include post-show talkbacks following the Thursday and Sunday performances. The Theatre Company is also proud to announce a new Thursday Community Night Series. During the 2016-17 season, every Thursday performance will celebrate our community with $10 tickets for plays and $15 for the musical, a savings of more than 50%.
