Honors and Diploma

Honors

Honors are awarded to undergraduate students who have completed their degree requirements as of May of commencement year. They are: summa cum laude -3.75 or above, magna cum laude -3.50 or above and cum laude -3.25 or above. Honors are determined using only the last 60 hours of your degree program. Transfer students must have completed 60 hours at UDM to qualify. Candidates for June and August will not have honors read at Commencement because your coursework is incomplete and your final GPA is not yet determined. Honors information cannot be altered on Commencement Day. Please refer to the Undergraduate Catalog for information.

Diploma

If all degree requirements have been met, financial balances including the graduation fee have been paid, and the diploma order processed, you will receive your diploma at Commencement. Others will receive their diplomas from their colleges/schools at a later date, when all the aforementioned has been completed.

Two Degrees at this Ceremony

If you are receiving two degrees at this ceremony, special arrangements need to be made, especially if those degrees are from two different colleges/schools. Please contact the Registrar's Office no later than April 28.
