CEC Advisory Council

CEC Advisory Council Mission

The Career Education Center Advisory Council shall serve as ambassadors of the CEC and shall act as a resource to its primary constituents: students, faculty, and employers. Members shall engage in discussion and participate in activities that help the Career Education Center to achieve its goals and objectives.

The CEC Advisory Council will consist of employers, current UDM students, faculty and staff! Employer council members will represent a variety of industries, employment sectors and career opportunities and be actively engaged in recruiting UDM students and alumni.

Advisory Council responsibilities may include:

• lending advice and expertise to UDM Career Education Center staff to ensure high quality, comprehensive career services to the UDM student body in developing an educated workforce;
• helping to develop and promote opportunities for co-op, internship and post-graduate employment;
• addressing issues related to Career Education Center activities and programs;
• recognizing and promoting Career Education Center services through public acknowledgement;
• participating in campus and community activities and events (e.g., career fairs and other networking events) sponsored by the Career Education Center.
