Next Steps for Graduate Students
Congratulations on becoming a new UDM Graduate student! The following four steps are offered to help make your transition more enjoyable.
Step 1: File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
We recommend every graduate student file the FAFSA after January 1. By submitting the FAFSA, you may become eligible for grants and/or low interest rate student loans. The quickest most convenient way to file is online. UDM’s school code is 002323.
Step 2: Meet with your Academic Advisor
As a new graduate student, you must meet with your Academic Advisor for first-semester advising and registration. It will only be in future, successive semesters that you'll have an ability to register online. You are free to contact your advisor at any time, but please allow the University a week to process your information. So, take this into consideration when you contact your advisor.
Step 3: Register for Classes
Once you have met with your Academic Advisor you will register for classes online using TitanConnect.TitanConnect is your online access to conducting University business. From updating personal information, checking course schedules, making payments, and registering for class – it is all at your fingertips. You will receive your TitanConnect login information through the mail just after your acceptance.
