Lora Jokinen

Lora Jokinen has been at UDM since 2011, and has been working in student services in higher education since she was an undergraduate student. She currently works with freshman students applying from cities outside Metro Detroit, in Michigan. In her spare time, she enjoys country music, going to concerts and going up north. She also loves going to football, baseball, and hockey games! Go Tigers! 

What Lora likes best about UDM is that it has a diverse student population and is filled with opportunity within academics and campus life. She also believes," The two most important things new students should know about UDM is that there are great scholarship opportunities and you will receive a high quality education! UDM is Detroit's best kept secret!" Lora is motivated by creating a relationship with students and knowing that she is helping them better their future and help create the full college experience along the way.
