UDM Campus Maps and Driving Directions

Below is a map and driving directions for our three Detroit campuses.

Construction and closures near UDM

• In April and May 2008, Livernois Avenue will be under construction, including the area at UDM's McNichols Campus entryway, limiting turning options. Find out more on the Livernois Median project page.
• The MDOT Ambassador Bridge Gateway Project will close a portion of I-75 and I-96 in Detroit through 2008 and 2009. These closures may affect your drive to UDM, especially the Corktown Campus. For information, see the Gateway project page.

McNichols Campus

McNichols Campus is located at 4001 West McNichols Road in northwest Detroit, on the southeast corner of McNichols and Livernois Avenue, with an entrance on each. The campus is accessible from the Lodge (M-10), Chrysler (I-75) and Jeffries (I-96) freeways.

Driving Directions

• Northbound John C. Lodge Freeway (M-10):
  Exit at Livernois. Turn right onto Livernois. The University is north two lights on the right.

• Southbound John C. Lodge Freeway (M-10):
  Exit at Livernois. Turn left onto Livernois. The University is north two lights on the right.

• Northbound I-75:
  Exit at Davison Freeway. Take Davison to northbound John C. Lodge Freeway (M-10). Exit at Livernois. Turn right onto Livernois. The University is north two lights on the right.

• Southbound I-75:
  Exit at Eight Mile. Turn right onto Eight Mile Road. Proceed west to Livernois. Follow Livernois south to University.

• Westbound I-94 or Eastbound I-94:
  Exit John C. Lodge Freeway (M-10) North. Exit at Livernois. Turn right onto Livernois. The University is north two lights on the right.

• Westbound I-696 to I-75 South.
  Exit at Eight Mile. Turn right onto Eight Mile Road. Proceed west to Livernois. Follow Livernois south to University.

• Eastbound I-696 to John C. Lodge (M-10) South:
  Exit at Livernois. Turn left onto Livernois. The University is north two lights on the right.

• Eastbound Eight Mile:
  Turn right onto Livernois. Proceed to McNichols.

• Westbound Eight Mile:
  Turn left onto Livernois. Proceed to McNichols.

Corktown Campus
School of Dentistry

The School of Dentistry is located near downtown Detroit, one block east of I-96 Jeffries Freeway and within minutes of I-94, I-75, and the Lodge Freeway. Convenient access to bus lines.

Driving Directions

• From the Northwest, East and West:
  From I-96 East/Jeffries Fwy take exit 191 (US12/ML King Jr. Blvd/Michigan Avenue). Turn left onto ML King Jr. Blvd/Myrtle St.

• From Downriver:
  From I-96/Jeffries Fwy take Michigan Ave/US-12 exit. Turn left onto Michigan Ave. Turn right onto Tillman St. Turn right onto ML King Jr. Blvd/Myrtle St. Make a U-turn onto ML King Jr. Blvd/Myrtle St.

Riverfront Campus
School of Law

Riverfront Campus is located at 651 East Jefferson Avenue in downtown Detroit, across from the Renaissance Center. The campus is accessible from the Lodge (M-10) and Chrysler (I-75) freeways and from Jefferson Avenue.
