Cost of Attendance
Cost of Attendance at Detroit Mercy
The Cost of Attendance (COA) is a federally defined term that includes costs above and beyond your Detroit Mercy student account bill. The COA is also known as a student budget. It represents the maximum amount of financial aid (scholarships, grants, loans, federal work-study) that a student can receive based on the school's best estimate of costs.
Budgets are based on direct/billable expenses (tuition, fees, and on-campus housing and meal plans) and estimated indirect expenses (off-campus housing & food, books & supplies, transportation, and miscellaneous personal expenses) for one academic year; two semesters (fall & winter) spanning nine months.
After you review the tables below, let us help you with the math. You can talk to a financial aid counselor to help you decide the best options for successfully and strategically financing your degree.
