Great Things At Detroit Mercy

  • Detroit Mercy’s School of Dentistry curriculum and course content are constantly being reviewed and improved to present the most current information and trends in dentistry.
  • The School of Dentistry has a number of outreach initiatives including the Bay Cliff Health Camp, Give Kids a Smile, Mack and Third, Mouth Guard Clinics, Special Needs Clinic and TeamSmile.
  • Detroit Mercy student and faculty volunteers provide free dental care to uninsured adults in the City of Detroit and the surrounding areas through the St. Vincent de Paul Clinic. The clinics run on average two Saturdays every month throughout the year.
  • The seven-year Bachelor/D.D.S. program lets qualified students save time (and tuition!) in getting a highly sought after degree.
  • Detroit Mercy allows qualified graduates of foreign dental schools the opportunity to earn a D.D.S. and gain clinical skills and knowledge of dentistry as it is practiced in the United States.
  • Small class sizes — our average student-to-teacher ratio is 11:1; that means plenty of individualized attention aimed at making sure our students succeed.
