UAS 0800 Basic Mathematics

Number concepts; basic operations with counting numbers, whole numbers, integers, and fractions; factoring; real numbers; ratio, proportion, and percent; decimal representations; exponents; scientific notation; geometric interpretation of numbers. Completion of this course with a grade of C or better is required in order to enroll in UAS0950. This course does not generate earned hours toward graduation requirements.

UAS 0950 Elementary Algebra

Fundamental operations with signed numbers, linear equations and inequalities; graphing, linear systems; exponents and polynomials; factoring. This course is the pre-requisite for MTH1010. Completion of this course with a grade of C or better is required in order to enroll in MTH1010. This course does not generate earned hours toward graduation requirements.

UAS 0990 Basic Writing

Provides instruction and practice in effective writing, including extensive practice in fundamentals of critical thinking and college writing in preparation for English 1300 and 1310. Special attention is paid to generating, organizing, and developing ideas, as well as editing for syntax, mechanics, and style. Completion of this course with a grade of "C" or better is required in order to enroll in ENL 1300. This course does not generate earned hours toward graduation requirements.
