Analyzes the development of urban areas and the industries within these cities. Students also discuss the present tendency for industrial relocation and its impact on populations. The course examines current urban problems such as homelessness, the underclass, unemployment, racism, classism, and urban decay. In addition, the instructor will analyze the locus of urban decision making and analyze the prospects for the future of urban areas, with particular emphasis on Detroit.	3	0	0
