A comparative study of politics in selected countries and regions of Africa, touching on such problems as apartheid, education, standard of living, and modernization. The course examines the social and political changes as well as stagnation in Africa, including some of the evolution of governmental, educational, commercial, and religious institutions which shape African society, and the different patterns of political and social change which have emerged since independence.	3	0	0
