NUR 4420 Community as Partner: Implications of Urban Health

Corequisites: NUR 4200 NUR 4450
2 semester hours @ 50 minutes each=24 hours for the 14 week course. This course focuses on the development of partnerships from an assets-based approach within the community as a means of addressing global health concerns and health promotion for identified aggregates in the urban community. Principles of epidemiology and public health policy will be examined and applied in addressing the health issues of the urban community, particularly health care access and environmental issues.
