2 - 50 minute hours per week for 14 weeks. Discusses the management and leadership responsibilities of Nursing in an ever-changing environment of integrated healthcare systems. Organizational and leadership theories are presented with a focus on strategic planning, managed care, quality management, fiscal management and human relations skills. Discusses the necessity of continuing education and the need for a Nursing role in public policy in relation to contemporary health care issues.
