Prerequisites: ENGR 3130 (Minimum Grade of D, May not be taken concurrently) ENGR 3170 (Minimum Grade of D, May not be taken concurrently) ENGR 3260 (Minimum Grade of C, May not be taken concurrently) An application of engineering sciences to the design of mechanical components. The course considers theories of failure, selection and proportioning of machine elements, fatigue, stress concentration and buckling of columns. The design of machines containing power screws and fasteners is treated in depth.	3	0	0
