This course provides students with a background in the research process and methods of quantitative analysis used in the planning and operational management of health services. An introduction to the fundamentals of analyzing and interpreting data, statistical and quantitative tools for research and decision analysis. The research process is introduced with emphasis on application of research findings, evidence based managerial decision making, determination of client population needs, evaluation of outcomes, development of a research proposal and critical evaluation of research studies.
