ENL 2360 Diverse Voices in Fiction

Prerequisites:
ENL 1310 (Minimum Grade of D, May not be taken concurrently)
Introduces students to careful literary analysis by focusing on texts drawn from diverse voices in U.S. literatures. Students explore how these authors negotiate the relationships of the aesthetic, cultural, and political in their works, and how interchanges between established and new literatures change each. By the end of the semester, students should be conversant with the basic elements and terminology used in the study of fiction. In addition, upon completion of the course, students should have an awareness of a variety of critical perspectives. | 3 | 0 | 0 | | |
