DHS 8110 Physical Assessment and Management of Medical Emergencies	Credit Hours	Recitation/Lecture Hours	Studio Hours	Clinical Hours	Lab Hours
This course is designed to give the student a basic understanding of disease states that may trigger medical emergencies and the means to prevent these emergencies through careful preoperative assessment and treatment modification. Through both didactic and laboratory experiences, students will further develop the assessment skills necessary for treating a patient with a significant medical problem as well as recognize and manage medical emergencies.	2	0	0
