Using theoretical models, this course provides a comparative study of how cultural characteristics affect communication between and within cultures. Students will gain: a scholarly and reasoned view of the beliefs, values, attitudes, and social orientations of other cultures; an enhanced tolerance and appreciation for diversity; and specific communication skills designed to reduce uncertainty when communicating in perceived conditions of difference.	3	0	0
