Prerequisites: CIVE 3480 (Minimum Grade of D, May not be taken concurrently) Classical and modern earth pressure theories and their experimental justification. Pressures and basis for design of retaining walls. Reinforced earth walls, braced open cuts, anchored bulk heads, cofferdams. Prediction of ground movement and damage to existing structures.
