CIVE 4680 Design Steel and Concrete Structures

Prerequisites:
CIVE 3420 (Minimum Grade of D, May not be taken concurrently)


Structural proportioning of reinforced concrete members such as: beams, floors, columns and footings. Students will be able to design structural steel tension members, columns, beams, beam-columns and simple connections. Students will develop an understanding of the how and when design methods are applicable and how to make good design assumptions based on controlling theories.
