This course is designed to provide lean manufacturing solutions to production processes that delivery best in class performance in cost, working capital, and product lead time. It covers tools, techniques, and processes to reduce cycle time, reduce inventory, reduce material cost, and enhance effectiveness of the supply chain. Topics covered include issues with the common manufacturing processes, elimination of waste, 5S-the foundation, value stream mapping, engineering standards, ergonomics, and workplace design among others.
