EMGT 5270 Hybrid Electric Vehicles

This course provides an understanding of the state-of-the-art of the hybrid electric vehicle industry from environmental aspects to engineering and manufacturing considerations and customer expectations. It also reviews the evolving trends in the industry. Case studies are used throughout. Each student will select a hybrid vehicle from a given list that he/she will study in detail and use as a reference throughout the course. The vehilce architecture, cost benefit analysis for the consumer as well as the manufacturer's rationale for the vehicle production will be studied.
