This course focuses upon an examination of selected conceptual models and theories in nursing and their relationship to research and advanced clinical practice. The course includes an overview of issues in philosophy of science and in developing a scientific body of knowledge in nursing. Students will explore the historical roots and modern application of various grand and middle range perspectives used by nursing.
