CNS 560 Case Problems in Counseling

This course provides students an opportunity to conduct a comprehensive assessment, utilizing the mental status exam and apply counseling theory to in-depth case analysis. Students will become familiar with the DSM-IV-TR as well as ethical issues associated with assessment and diagnosis. A presentation of case information is conducted with special emphasis on the relationship between assessment and treatment planning in counseling.
